Each Pokèmon and Their Best Attacks on Pokémon GO

- in Tips & Tricks

Battling against opponents is a lot of the fun in Pokèmon GO, but if you battle you definitely want to win. Knowing your best Pokèmon’s strengths and weaknesses can go a long way when facing a gym leader.

Each Pokèmon have their strongest attack while they also have their weakest attacks. It’s best to know which ones do well and which ones don’t. A lot of these may surprise you. These tips were compiled from reddit and got a massive amount of exposure:

Wow I didn’t expect this to be a big hit in less then 12 hours. I am glad helped out many be a better trainer!.

So I got some time that I killed, with servers down here and there and doing some research, I notice this was never very talked about.

So I did some research and calc up all the attacks each Pokemon can learn and the damage it can do, crit, attack speed, energy use, and oh you get the point now. I have listed every Pokemon from the game of their max evolution form, so dont expect Eevee to be on this list.

Some will look at it for example, Charizard has no STAB for Secondary move, just because Dragon Claw has a better dps, attack speed, energy use and crit that out did Flamethrower.

If enough people request, I do the others beside the evolutions, but just wanted this out there.

1st Request: Added this link to give a more visual but still say the same (man, wish I found this instead of doing the date myself lol) https://pokemon.gameinfo.io/ On added note, I looked at this site closer, it has almost same data, but for example, I disagree with Butterfree. It states that Psychic is better. Lets do the math on this one.

First off, we ignore the 5% crit, since most of the Secondary attacks have that standard, it has 50 power with 2 bars with 2.8 second to charge up to use one bar. The math is 50 times 2 bars for 100 power, 100 divide by 2.8 gives 35.714 DPS. Signal Beam is 35 power with 1.25 percent STAB into effect, 43.75 with 3 bars, 43.75 times 3 is 131.25 power, 131.25 divide by 3.1 sec charge is 42.34 DPS

2nd Request:. Formula of calculate this up was Power (times stab of 1.25) divided by Attack Speed. Secondary is Power (times stab of 1.25) times energy bar(s) divided by Charge Time (times 1.25 or 1.5 crit chance. This one is tricky if it’s one bar with 50 chance crit). Or Power divide by Charge Time times how many bars, either way is the same out come.

Some are misunderstanding about this. Hurricane is great for a huge burst damage in one full bar, but Air Cutter with crit has a faster charge time with more hits dealing out more damage spread out and not a burst hit. It makes use of the energy bar more effective. If you want a continuous tapping and make use of the energy bar, this is best, but if you want to hit and dodge, a full burst damage might be best for you.

Most of my resource came from http://www.serebii.net/pokemongo/pokemon/index.shtml

Dragonite with his attacks, when they are full charged full bar and used them at 100 percent energy. Scary dps drop in some. Dragon Claw crits every time.
