Pokémon Go Just Made a Huge Change to Pokémon Nests

Pokémon Go nests have finally migrated but that’s not the only change to the game. Pokémon nests are now spawning higher tier evolutions as well. Here’s what we know.

According to Reddit’s Pokémon Go grassroots network, Silph Road, users have confirmed that the nests have not just migrated but are also spawning evolved Pokémon. One user noted that a Charmander nests appeared overnight and was not just spawning Charmander but Charizards as well.

According to Pokémon Go Hub, there are hardly any nests worldwide that weren’t changed in the migration. They also confirmed that while some spawn points were removed, more were added. We now have more nests in the world than ever before.

This is a big deal because these kind of changes to the game make it more interesting. With a game like Pokémon Go, if it doesn’t keep evolving (pun intended), it gets boring to both casual players and more hardcore players. These big changes to the game show that Niantic is consistently planning big updates that make the game more rewarding and more fun. According to Reddit user TBNecksnapper:

“With more drops the more casual players will again feel that they are improving their collection while the players that have already filled the pokedex will feel that the grind towards 40 is more rewarding as they get more chances to evolve old pokemon but with new movesets they didn’t have before, or better IVs (another recent improvement, except for poor Eevee). So they don’t need to feel grudge towards the new players that got it easier than them, they will instead be happy then can feel some progress too.”
